It is being announced on Thursday which is not the usual Wednesday format that they have been following. It is letting us know that Thursday will feature a headliner. Three certain birds, add one. It's going down.
Not trolling... just throwing the possibility out there since nobody has stated it yet. Not necessarily anything I would like to see. You already have Metallica. And with the announcement that Chinese Democracy is finally going to be released, why is it out of the picture?
I myself am hoping for a Bob Dylan w/ the Dead performance reminiscient of one of the greatest CDs I own and wish I could have witnessed. However, I'm looking at plausible bands.

Hey Bell, yeah I just think it is odd they are making this BIG announcement on Thursday, instead of the usual Wednesday. Three certain birds, add one, IMO, is referring to a FOURTH headliner. We have adapted to the idea of Fri, Sat, and Sun headliners, but why not a Thursday headliner, eh?? It'd be neat.
Coming from Townshend himself regarding the Who...
"There is a chance we might play some shows in the Festival season this summer. I would want to do that purely for fun, and I don't want to turn it into a big tour. I need to stay focussed on my writing."
As far as I know... no festivals have booked them. So why not Bonnaroo?

Anyone else notice Saturday is off Pollstar? It's farfetched, but I'd guess they're moving Pearl Jam to Sunday, and getting a another headliner for Saturday. Jack Johnson will be bumped to pre-headliner or close out the Which Stage.
My guess? Coldplay or Paul McCartney
Especially seeing with what Coachella just did. And the fact that they said it'd be a big announcement
