As I've stated in the other thread, I'd love Clapton, but I think that most of the evidence points to either Roger Waters or Neil Young. Our hopes about Clapton are based almost entirely in the fact that he's playing shows with Robert Randolph.

I don't think there's much evidence, if at all, to point to Roger Waters. All of the "Dark Side of the Moon" speculation is based off a comment DJ JD made about the "something that will shoot us over the moon". Not only would that be an entirely too obvious reference, but it would be pretty weak of Bonnaroo to rip-off a Coachella headliner and announce it 2 months after the initial line-up came out. I don't think it's Superfly's style.

I don't put it past Superfly to use Roger Waters. He fits better at Bonnaroo than Coachella, and the fact that he's playing a festival out west should not exclude him. The DJ JD comment in my mind is very telling.
1) It's a clue straight from the mouth of the company.
2) If you look at the past clues from DJ JD and Bonnaroo Radio, many of them were not exactly cryptic. (See "Clouds Taste Metallic," etc.)
Mind you, I love Clapton. He's been one of my heroes since I was ten years old. I'd love to see the man at Bonnaroo. I just think there's plenty more evidence directly from Superfly that indicates we'll get Young or Waters.

Yes, I definitly think the Plant/Kraus tour should disqualify the zep speculation. Sure, Trey did something similar in 2006 but Robert Plant has alot more years & wear on him. I would also assume that the reunited Zeppelin would still want to practice together before playing another show and I dont know where that time would fall with all of the Alison Krauss stuff going on.
What exactly are the clues/indications for Clapton?

Led Zeppelin could play Sunday. And the Eric Clapton rumors stem from the fact that he is touring with Robert Randolph before and after Bonnaroo, and the guitarist from his band (Dereck Trucks) is already scheduled to appear.

You called Metallica (and something last year), BonnarooDetective, so your predictions hold some clout. I've never seen Clapton and, considering his ticket prices, this could be my one good chance if this proves true.
