there's a bar called headhunters that usually has some local brews, too
The Ginger Man looks like my kind of place. Thanx i would recommend gingerman, though, mostly because the seating is better, and its downtown. flying saucer is more central austin.

i personally have only met three people from this message board (two before roo 08, and one afterwards), and all were a blast to hang with...i think that there will be a roo acl meet-up, just stay tuned...you will meet some cool people on here...btw, im not too keen on the acl forum, and have had a hard time trying to meet people on it

My advice on three-day passes would be to wait. We got scalped last year, only to discover there were many (many!) tickets available for less than face value as fest dates got closer.

Here is an update for some of you that are not consistantly in the loop:
Ingrid Michaelson is out due to a Europen tour with Jason Mraz
Fleet Foxes is playing and maybe taking MGMT's spot on Sat and I am guessing MGMT may take over Ingrids spot on Friday since they are still on the schedule.
I am a bit bummed that Ingrid won't be there, but Fleet Foxes is making the pain go away :-)

Ingrid had that 3:30-4:40 slot on Friday (against Jamie Lidell), which is now occupied by Del and Fleet Foxes (against the Old 97's) is in the 12:30 slot, which moves MGMT to 5:30 against Spirtiualized. None of these moves really affect me much as far conflicts, so no complaints here.
! It's funny how one band can make the lineup look a lot better.
