I was up in northern VT a couple of weeks ago and grabbed a case of Heady Topper... Expensive, but so damn good. I just wish it was available outside of northern VT. From what I understand is it is because it is unpasteurized and has to stay cold, but don't quote me on that. Anyone else tried it?
I think the only reason Heady is distributed in VT is because The Alchemist can't make enough to send anywhere else.
Regardless, I'm super jealous you got to have some. I've got an uncle in New Hampshire. I think I'm gonna have to visit him around Heady time next year.
When I bought it, the guy at the store did say that not to let it get warm or it will go bad, it's perishable apparently. I bought a foam cooler and ice for it for the drive back to CT.
Someone on BeerAdvocate (from Florida) once wanted to trade me some Cigar City for New England Brewing's Gandhi Bot (double IPA).
I can't recall the last time I seen Gandhi Bot at the package store, it's not often you can find it since its so highly sought after.
Two of my favorite brewing companys are within 20 minute drive from me, New England and Two Roads. Sea Hag from New England and Road to Ruin from Two Roads are two of my favorite. And it's seasonal and hard to get, but Two Roads' Igor's Dream is damn good if anyone ever gets a chance to get. To get it in bottle you have to get it at the brewery on release day, can get it on tap at a number of places though. It is a Russian imperial stout.

I've been to Milford/Orange many a time, and many of the good beer spots nearby. Have been to Two Roads once before, but not NEBC.
I tried something from NEBC and didn't care for it, either Sea Hag or Elm City Pilsner - and never really paid any attention to them after that. Maybe I should give them a second chance, since that was years ago now.
I'd say my favorite CT beers are:
- Thomas Hooker Irish Red Ale (which I'm actually drinking one right now) - Thomas Hooker Octoberfest - Two Roads Ol Factory Pils - Cambridge House Copper Hill Kolsch - Black Hog Coffee Milk Stout - City Steam Naughty Nurse

I dunno, sounds excessive to me. Heady comes in cans and has plenty of hops so I'd think it'd be a pretty resilient beer.
I guess they sell it at the exact conditions they want you to drink it at? The coldness would slow the process of the yeast breaking down in the can. You probably would've been fine for a couple hours drive.
That being said, I trust a vendor to know more about it than I do. And it should definitely stay in your fridge if you're saving it.

This bbq place here, Smokin Q, has Igors Dream on tap. Plus the food is damn good.

Anyone from Wisconsin area? Id love to trade for some New Glaurus Raspberry Tart. I live in the Tampa Bay area and will make it worth your while. PM me if anyone is interested.
I live in the Chicago area but have family in WI so I'm there usually once a month. I'd be more than happy to do a trade with you and 10goldbees

I'm going to Half Acre for the release of Galactic Double Daisy Cutter this Friday. They don't serve food at their taproom so you can bring in your own. Beer and donuts it'll be.
I'll be coming from Ohio with a plethora of local craft brews. If anyone has something in particular they'd like to try from Ohio, let me know and I'll grab some for a trade. Otherwise, I'll be bringing stuff from:
-Great Lakes -MadTree -Jackie O's -Four String
If there are any certain beers from any of those someone would like, let me know. I'll be hitting them all in the next few weeks.

If anyone is interested in anything from Massachusetts/New England, let me know what you might want and what you have available to trade.
I'm not sure if I'm gonna have Heady this year or not, but there are plenty of other delicious things in New England.
I would love some Summer Ale from Narragansett.. Not sure if that's available all around up there. See above your post for where I can score from, if you have any requests.

Will probably pick up a six pack or two in TN, but I'm pretty much done with my alcohol shoppin' fer this year. Will have some to trade at Camp Inforoo! I'll post a full list in the next few days of what I have.
I'm done for at least two months. Whatever I got left, I'm most likely bringing to QC. I end up bringing a lot home from QC, so it could be a while for me.
If anybody wants anything from AK let me know. So far I'll be bringing Alaska Brewing Freeride APA and Broken Tooth Fairweather IPA. If I could get my hands on some Whales Tale in exchange I would be very grateful.

I will happily take you up on this - I'd love to try Alaskan Brewing's smoked porter. I'll trade you 6 or 12 Whale's Tales for an equivalent number of those, or whatever other agreement you'd like to make

I will see what I can get a hold of and let you know!!
I just bottled 4 gallons of homebrewed oatmeal raisin stout. Looked and smelled pretty good. It should be ready to drink just after I get back from 'Roo.

I am not sure I have tried the pilsner, but if it was the Sea Hag that you didn't like, I am VERY disappointed in you.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

The higher the IBU, the more likely I'm going to not like it. I don't drink that many IPAs, and those I do tend to be moderated on hop bitterness and/or balanced with a good amount of malt backing. I rarely drink west coast IPAs, not that I drink a lot from outside the Northeast to begin with.
