If I find I can find it at a Total Wine and Beverage in the DC area. I'll be sure to try it. Beer with Hops is real beer.

For Hopheads, this beer is another plus. Probably the hoppiest I've ever had.

Sticky sweet and all around awesome. It's the dangerous kind of good.

Loved this Blind Pig, too - first time trying it and pleased, but not bowled over...

I'll usually order Yuengling at the bar, but I ordered a delcious Philly Pale Ale at the bar on Friday and absolutey enjoyed it.



on another note, what does a beer cost in centeroo? not the beer in the brooers tent but the average run-of-the-mill beer that vendors sell

Somethin' like $6-9 I think. A few of the few of the beers from the Brewer's tent make it to some sites in Centeroo. Mostly Bud/Bud Light, but I've seen Starr Hill's Love and Sweetwater's 420 as well.

For all you Bell's beer fans... Beginning Summer of 2012 they will begin canning some of their beers. It's not been decided which ones yet but it will be a pretty big operation.

Oberon in a can? no thanks.

So over the weekend, I went to Pennsylvania and hit up a bunch of breweries and brewpubs.

Started out at Golden Avalanche in Kutztown. Crashed overnight in Pottsville. Then to Yuengling Saturday morning. Down to Harrisburg for Troegs, then over to Adamstown for Stoudts, and finally Downingtown for Victory.

I am happy to see Avery getting into the canned business. At first I was a little weary after several Czars and hating them each time of the brewery. But DuganA and Maharaja put me back into being open to their brews.

Sure, it's called the "Southern" Brewers Fest because that's where it's located, but it features ~75 breweries from VT to CA and all points in between.
Plus, ALL proceeds go to a local charity which supports kids, so you can get drunk for a good cause!

Other perks: it's downtown on the riverfront with live music all day, and there's plenty to do (and eat!) nearby if your liver calls time out.
Oh, and I live about a mile away if you need a place to crash. The city has free electric shuttles so you don't have to walk far at all.
