Today I picked up a six pack of Sam Winter and a six pack of Brooklyn Lager
Saw a sixer for City Steam's Naughty Nurse at this packie as well. Might have to go back for that once these two are done. I been to the City Steam brewpub in Hartford a couple times now and its decent.
Definitely a sipper. First time I had it, I wasn't too thrilled. Second time, WOW! It weighs in at $45 a bottle but it's one of those beers that will knock your socks off. Bourbon + Stout.... nom nom nom...
Yesterday in Boston I managed to down about 80% of a pitcher of Troegs Hopback Amber... in 45 minutes.
$15 pitchers of that in Boston is a pretty decent deal. Just too bad I went through it that quick, but some friends of my date wanted to leave Boston quick.

I recently had some SUE high gravity from Yazoo that had been aged for 6 months in used Triple Smoke whiskey casks from Corsair our local artisan distillery. It is a really amazing beer.

Jesus, that's a lot of deliciousness!! Also, which one of those kool kats has the good taste to bring Great Lakes Brewing Co. to your shindigs? That is how we survive winter in the Cleveland area.
Homage to my city's college team, and my favorite event on the planet. EPIC WIN!!
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Someone left a New Holland Brewery Dragon's Milk in my friends fridge after the Super Bowl yesterday and I had to try it. He called it an ale, I would call it a stout. It's ok after the first few sips. It has a whiskey note to it at first and you can feel it going down. It is fairly strong at 10%. The guy claims to have paid $16 for a 4 pack.

Dragons Milk takes some getting used to for some but it is a damn good beer
This is very good but Vermont Brewing Company in Burlington VT makes the best stout I've ever had. It's a smoked stout and I get it every time I visit my kids at UVM.

When I was livin' in Raleigh, my buddy and I went craft beer shoppin' at the local Total Beverage. I remember I picked up a smoked stout (don't recall the name though) and it was amazin'!
Study: Beer beats water for hydration A new study says that drinking beer after strenuous physical activity helps the body retain liquid better than water

this weekend i was lucky enough to be passing through harrisburg and finally got to visit troegs! amazing amazing awesome great wish i was still there...
The hop heads out there, NEED to get their paws on this. Anyone who's familiar with Odell, may have tried their seasonal St. Lupulin, which itself is wonderful. This seems like a gassed up progression on that...
