Hey all! ;D I just found some information out that made me kind of excited... this year just keeps getting better and better!
Well my first festival I ever attended was called Terrapin Hill Harvest Festival and it was in Harrodsburg, KY... It was in a beautiful location with rolling hills and trees, the weather is in the upper 70s, and the atmosphere is full of life! I had so much fun the few years that I got to go and then it happened... The great flood of '06 ... they axed the fest after several successful years (lineup with ekoostik hookah, wailers, blind corn liquor pickers, old crow, Donna the Buffalo etc...) i was there when it went down... it was on record as the rainiest two days in like 20 years in kentucky. there was a tornado in the next county over and it flooded lots of people out... we had to be escorted out by the red cross on boats where dry land used to be... and we were in a tent when it all happened. talk about crazy stuff!
Well now, I thought I'd share something with my inforoo 'family' hehe. Terrapin Festival might be back this year! It might not seem like a big deal to you guys, but if you're looking for a good fun event and you're in the area (or even if you're not we met some people there who traveled from Michigan, who were really awesome neighbors...) it's for you. Three days, and last terrapin tix ran at 80 bucks... early bird tix were even cheaper! It's not nearly as big as roo, but its definitely a rockin good time.
2008 Terrapin Hill Harvest Festival ???? There is a possibility that there WILL be Harvest Festival in September 2008. We ask for your help as we plan this event - please email us suggestions for bands that you would like to see play at Terrapin Hill (email to brenda@terrapinhillfarm.com) Also, we are looking for sponsors for this event.
