We're having a staff meeting at the Cracker Barrel in a week and change. I can't expect anything too crazy for ours since most of my co-workers are older and churchy.

Finally finished my analysis paper for my music theory class. I'm worried the paper sucks, but at least I got it done. Plus it's much easier to make corrections than to write it so it's smooth sailing from here out. Yay for the end of this semester finally being in sight.
One of my best friends that I've known since 3rd grade made it on SportsCenter Top 10 last night (#2). He is the guy making the amazing game-winning play call.
Out of our group of friends from home, he was always the one without a "path." The rest of us are in med or law school, but he has been chasing this pipe dream of being a sports broadcaster for a few years now. He has no other skills, so we worry about what is going to become of him if he fails....but when I heard this play call on SportsCenter I was literally in SHOCK.
It's funny, because out of all of our friends, it's him that I respect the most - for having the balls to chase his dream. I think he understands life better than the rest of us combined.

Yay for Bone Marrow and Pig Ears and Scallops with Foie Gras. Yay for 80's covers and uninhibited dancing and free PBR's until 10pm. Yay for burning silicone and the dangers of tea lights in close quarters. Yay for 73 VW's showing the way to killer record stores. Yay for portable record players and The Smiths. Yay for bars with tree stumps in the middle of them and private Action Camp shows.

UMMMM.... I don't even know where to post this, or where to respond, so I'm going with the YAY thread.
YAY YAY YAY YAY YAYYYYYYY to ALL the magnificent, caring, thoughtful, kind, wonderfully generous people from the "Craft Mayo Fan Club of Inforoo." Today I got a gift card in the mail for a BRAND NEW SEWING MACHINE
To the people in this self-proclaimed club, I am SHOCKED and AMAZED and THRILLED at this gift! I have no idea where this came from. Honestly, while this TREASURE is going to be loved and appreciated to no end while I panda-hood the world, and MAKE ALL THE THINGS, that love and appreciation PALES in comparison to the love and appreciation I have for all of YOU. Inforoo is a second family to me - and these kind of grand gestures are just icing on the cake.
You guys, I'm blown away. Really, I'm humbled and honored to have you as friends. THANK YOU ALL SO SO SO MUCH. I can't thank you enough just for being so FREAKING AMAZING PEOPLE, and for giving me this JOY today!!!

So, tonight, at our local all-around music shop, in the dollar bin, we find Yim Yames Tribute To (mint), mint copy of NIN Broken (makes a good XMAS present for those who don't have), The Crow soundtrack and City of Angels soundtrack (lost ours a long time ago), and a decent 70's compilation (for my folks and for me)!
For lack of where to post this .... YAAAAYYYYYYYY that someone in my not so distant past made good on their word to settle up some funds!! Thought this was a lost cause. Very happy to see things set right.
