And a super huge YAY goes out to Mayo for putting me up and being such a fantastic host this weekend! Special shout out to Holls as well . And hanging out with a fine friendly group you, Mr. Mrs. Sang, Mrs. and Mrs. Daytripper, and Siggy at the Braves game and the Victory sandwhich bar (the Muffler is a MUST for anyone passing through town) that place rocks! It was a much needed positive punctuation mark to end on in an otherwise rocky week.

Today is the end of week two, homeschooling my eldest son. I thought he was majorly behind in a lot of subjects and we did have some catching up to do. At this point, we have caught up and are ahead by a comfortable amount in the curriculum. It's been stressful and I've often wondered if it was the right choice but I know it is. Thanks to everyone to supported me in this, especially Dave and EEP <3 Tonight I'm heading to some inforooer's to relax and have fun. Yay for the weekend and friends!

It will be hard to knock this off as my favorite Friday post.

ITS SO QUIET HERE TODAY!!! I wanna dance around my office. Its NEVER quiet in here. Ohhh how I love peace and quiet!
Also, I love my new haircut, and my only afterwork plans include some shopping therapy. Only weekend plans are looking at houses with the realtor and a bunch of freelance work...no travel, no guests, no shows, no dinner plans, no parties... I love all those things, but MAN have I needed a downtime weekend for a while!!Gonna sit in the yard, go to the gym, cook food, have some cocktails, watch gobs of teevee, and RELAX.... yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

My Dad won two tickets to the Chargers/Titans game and he gave them to me and my brother so we could have some nice sibling time before my brother moves away for work next month.

Today, I registered to vote, am most likely working a poll station on election day (and making $110 dollars!), and I may possibly become a radio DJ for my school next semester ;D
Today when I went to go pick up my tooth my dentist said, "don't worry about that, keep on smiling". That's a grand that I can put towards heating the house.
I got it one week. If I remember right, I got "Walking with Dinosaurs" on DVD, a Atlanta Falcons/GA Lottery running parachute and something else weird.

Today was an unexpected "good karma" day. The campus librarian posted on FB that she'd forgotten her lunch & was ready to start munching on freshmen. Without asking, I raided my break room* & made her a goodie bag full of protein bars, popcorn, crackers & peanuts, Crystal Light, hot chocolate, etc. She was THRILLED and thanked me profusely. *Side note: if you're ever anywhere near my campus & you've got munchies, come to my office. Srsly. I'm stocked!
An hour later, a professor colleague hands me a wadded $10 bill. She'd found it on the floor outside her office and decided to give it to me.
I love moments like these. Thank you, Karma Fairy!
Galactic with Corey Glover, opening act Big Something tomorrow night with hubby and the kids. Really excited, hope everyone behaves and this cold is gone by then

My wife and I just booked plane tickets to go to Maine in October. This will make 49 states for me. I'm excited to get to all 50. Anyone have suggestions for things to do in Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont? Can anyone recommend a good place to stay? (Picking a place to stay is the hardest part for me.)
