My thumb is no longer throbbing with pain and my doctor said I just need band-aids to cover the area. It's still pretty useless, but I can bend it and I can knit!

Lame attempt at humor I guess. I've read plenty of posts celebrating your mastebatory talents. Before I read who it was from, I thought this could have been one of them. If you gotta explain it, it ain't funny. My bad.
Got to spend the day with sang_xcx, Mrs. Sang, o'neil, & G, seeing great music performed live outside on a beautiful fall day. Plus, my kids got to see a show on the rail for the first time ever. It was a great day - YAY!!

I'm sitting on my patio, having just finished the last of my (many) beers for the evening, listening to Willie Nelson on Spotify, watching my fella prepare potatoes for the oven before he comes out here to grill us some ribeyes. In my mind, this is about as good as it gets.
Got back from my first trip to New Orleans fer the weddin' of two of my best friends! It was the first real trip fer me and my lady and we had a great time. Got to hang with a bunch of old friends and much whiskey was had. Much debaucery was had by all! Bourbon Street took me back to 'Roo a bit, especially with the smells (mostly unpleasant). Now back to reality and the grind of two jobs. But fingers crossed I might get a local crew spot at an upcomin' show!
Picked up a new bike yesterday. It has been years since I did any serious riding, can't wait to get out for a ride again.
Wow cr****
Just saw this cr**** Have had it out a couple times now. Rides nice, good for all kinds of distance. Although, even when I get back in shape, I would imagine 50 miles would be about the max on a single ride. I used to ride 100 mile a day rides, back when I was younger. Alas...I am not younger anymore.

A raise to shop at Trader Joe's????? Most of the stuff at TJ's where I live is every bit as cheap (if not cheaper) than Kroger or Aldis or wherever else. Only exception is meat and some more niche stuff.

OK so some of you know I'm obsessed with The Residents. I'm a rabid and long time fan. They are my absolute favorite band on earth. I love them, I love them so so much!
A couple of years ago the singer created a persona named Randy and Randy has a blog about him and his cat Maurice, as well as some ghost stories, rare Residents photo's, Residents history and general weirdness. I'll spare you the whole story but Randy has been having some issues with his landlord wanting him to move all of his Residents paraphernalia out of the basement and into the attic and he's been releasing a short video series called In My Room, Basement, Attic about the process. One of the last videos was this one:
In it he shares his opinion about the movie Pacific Rim. I totally agree with him and since I'd had a few drinks I sent him a message of solidarity. And HOLY SHIIZ if he didn't publish it on his blog and respond!
