i'm just sayinnnn. i could definitely go for a petting zoo at bonnaroo. how quacking cool would that be! only not just like sheep and camels and shiz. quacking zebras and giraffes and elephants and shiz. OR what about elephant rides how cool would that be! idk 'bout youu, but i'd ride a 'phant at roo. i'd pay like 10 bucks for that shiz. maybe get some zebra's involved if they're down to not bite. perhaps some peacocks? OR a butterfly pavilion! OMMANN! or like a bunch of tropical birds! Quack snakes though.

So I went last year but we had 2 cars and just had one big tent and an ez up and were just fine. This year there's only two of us and 1 car. If we have an 8x7 tent and an ez up will this be to bis for one space
You should be just fine. Your EZ-Up should cover some of your tent anyway to provide some shade to let you sleep longer, which can help conserve some space. Also just try to be cool with your neighbors on the shared space, especially if they don't have a shade structure.
I'm curious at how you guys get to know each other and identify one another at Roo.
Pull up a chair at Camp Inforoo, anytime, brunch, 3pm, 3am, whenever; talk to whoever is there. There will just about always be someone there. Maybe its me, maybe Bunny, maybe Rex, maybe Jess, maybe that topless chick w/ the painted breasts. Look for the baby flag, drop by, say hi.
It's weeks like this past week (and specifically today) that reminds me of how lucky I am. Some people leave the world empty- thing left unsaid and acts undone. And others leave this world and THEY ROCKED EVERY MINUTE. I can only hope I am one of those. I am left thinking of all my Inforoo family and how supportive and wonderful you all are. Make sure you say everything you want to before it's too late.

Early Bird tix on sale @ the 2013 Fest on Sunday. They were $169 for GA, someone said VIP was available but I didn't hear that price.

B. i agree with the waiving of rights to privacy once in a public setting. If you experiment and are not within the confines of your home, you have made your business available to the public at large. Youtube/Twitter/Facebook/Instagram is the anti-privacy mafia lol
I've been really quiet this weekend, because I had chicojuarz here. I thought it was quiet and slow moving on the weekends, but now I know. Boneroo, Phi, and Oniel are who I have my eyes on. I didn't realize that there should be run-offs to get people talking. I thought you just vote on who you want gone. Now that I know about the run-offs I want to think about it more and give my vote tomorrow morning.

I haven't seen this show in years (used to be one of my favorites), but just saw The Simpsons, and Sigur Rós was doing most of the soundtrack with new songs. I wouldn't have known except I got an email from the band's website. It was a funny episode for not having seen it in a long time.

There will be at least 3 people in this runoff, not into voting people right off. Jimmy, you're barking up the wrong tree here, but I understand that if phi is in the runoff then I should be aswell. But I am confused what's changed you're mind about phi in such a short period with very little said. But one thing I will agree with you, is that Tejas has been more suspicious than me. If its gonna take 3 votes to get into the runoff, then Boneroo>>>Phi>>>Tejas.

Anyway.. I've already said I'm ok with being in a runoff, as long as its a 3 person runoff. Amy has been quiet so I'm not sure what to make of that. Linana did save boneroo from a runoff, but the fact that boneroo brought it up doesn't make it so suspicious in my eyes.
Here a thought thougw What if amy is mafia, and one of the 3 votes amy has is inspector? I mean it seems unusual for someone who has not said a thing to be in a runoff. Add to that the fact that its her very first game of mafia, and she decided to play on a spur of the moment. Regardless I think she definitely deserves to be in the runoff

As far as the rain protection goes, I've been through several thunderstorms with just my Coleman tent and the rain fly and never had any trouble with leaking. I think the space inside your screen will be drier than if you did not have one and would not worry about putting tarp around the whole thing since that would block your breeze.
Would you guys really approach someone like that and offer him shade and water? He seems SO out of it; he might think the person approaching him is a danger to him and attack. I don't think it was very nice or "bonnaroovian" for them to stand around and laugh and film him but I'd honestly have to build up the nerve to approach someone like that. I'd be more likely to alert security or medical staff.
Certainly no shame in turning a problem like that over to professionals. What was it Hunter Thompson said? "You can turn your back on a person, but never turn your back on a NO NO WORD!!!, especially when it's waving a razor sharp hunting knife in your eye."
That quote reminds me of a story my old EMT instructor once told me. He'd worked something like 30 years as a street medic in Boston and it had made him a very wise albeit cynical man. It seems he and his partner rolled up on what was supposed to be a stabbing only to discover a knife fight still in progress. No cops there to break it up. His advice for such situations was to back off and let the cops get things under control when they arrived, or, failing that, to stand by in the safety of the ambulance and watch the show until both belligerent parties bled out to the point of unconsciousness. And then, and only then, to move in with the stretchers.
First off, the meeting time. Unless there is are a bunch of folks who know they can't be there this early, WE WILL BE MEETING IN MANCHESTER AT 9 AM!!! Due to not wanting to drive in some really crappy weather, I was not able to make it down to Manchester today. I will be going down soon to scope out the lot to ensure it is big enough for our group and convenient for our 40 some-odd cars to stay together. If you want to go ahead and plan your drive time, the lot will be within 1/2 mile of HWY 41 and Kimberley Ln. This is where VIP will enter the grounds from the main road. Here is a google map link with this intersection as the destination - Click for Google Maps link We will most likely meet on 41 just to the southeast of the marker so we can make a right onto 41 and a right onto Kimberley Ln. Please note that GA will be coming up 41 from southeast to northwest, but as usual, they will be lined up on the shoulder. Your VIP package should include directions so use those as a guideline!!
Second, the theme is going to be Beatle-mania as a proper welcome of Sir Paul to the farm. Although I will have a few things to give out, please take the initiative to decorate your direct camp accordingly. We will have sub-groups (covered later in this post) and hopefully yall can coordinate some on decorations. Lawn ornaments, tapestries, costumes, light strings, etc are readily available on ebay, amazon, or better yet, craft something up yourself!!
Third, the groups. I received minimal feedback for camping requests, but several folks simply stated they are interested in a quieter group, several just want to rage If you have any input on folks you know you do or do not want to camp with, send me a PM this week!! I am shooting to have the groups divided up next weekend so that yall will have a couple weeks to plan with your direct camp mates. Also, if there are any volunteers, I could use a couple folks to basically head up the sub-groups. This should be someone who has been to Roo and knows firsthand how the toolbooths work. You will simply make sure that your entire subgroup stays together getting through the gates. If this is your calling in life, send me a PM.
Fourth, demographics We have quite a few folks that are first time Roo-ers and first time festivalers. Actually as of right now it is more than 25% of our group. I will be dividing yall up among the groups with the intentions of us more experienced festival goers will give you pointers and help ensure an awesome weekend. I want all the newer folks to ask any questions, either here or in PM's, and hope all of the more experienced folks will all pitch in and help out our new best friends.
Fifth, our camp as a whole. We are one big, happy family. I touched on this before, but want to say it again - if you have any shade, bring it!! Too much shade and shelter is not possible at Roo. The days will be hot and very humid. Having 65+ folks all together will allow for large common areas. Yes, the spaces are blocked off individually by car, but we do not define ourselves by white lines on the ground. If you have several EZ-ups, please bring them to share for those who don't; sharing is caring. Tarps can easily be strung between EZ-ups to add to our shade. If you have a couple extra chairs, go ahead and bring em for folks who want to stop by and meet you!!
Is your 2-day pass for Saturday/Sunday? Or do you have tickets for Friday and Saturday?
Hi, Thanks for asking. it's a 2 day pass for both Saturday and Sunday. I didn't buy a Friday pass. And, I agree, The Avett Brothers are absolutely wonderful, even more so live. I've seen them in concert twice, so I'll definitely miss them this year. If I don't sell it on here, is StubHub an okay place to sell tickets?
