Pod 9, Dr. Egon Spengler. We were the group with the megaphones. Great neighbors.
Were you the ones that kept saying good morning? even if it wasn't you, my brother and I were extremely close to you. I remember looking at the map and we were either in or near the spengler camp.

The PHJB set with Jim James singing "St James Infirmary" was right up there with Macca for me. Wish I'd shot more than about 30 seconds of it on my camera (but on the other hand, not really, since I a.) try to watch, not film, and b.) I hate it when other people hold their cameras right in front of my face during shows and try to avoid doing that to others)

At Edward Sharpe the pit security was good too. A group of stubborn rude folks sat directly next to the line and tried to play it off as if they were just sitting, and ignored every person that told them where the line actually ended. My friends went to tell security and he just said "don't worry about it, we got it handled! wont let them in!". later a few other girls got into the line and once pit security was coming and asking us to point out the cutters the girls begged us to not tell, but I did, because those four girls could have been four other people that actually did wait. she cried and tried bribing the security but he made them get it. I hate line cutters but definitely thankful for pit security!

Haha, I just thought it was really odd that this happens to me every year. Obviously everyone has that special someone or somebodys. For me this year it was a bigger white guy that wore the same Bonnaroo volunteer shirt and flower shorts everyday. Somehow I would look up and he was walking by me at least once every day in Centeroo.

We caught Edward Sharpe right as they were parading up to the Sonic Stage..That was really cool. Seeing Jim James come out early with PHJB was cool..we were really close for that.
I thought Action Bronson was horrible. All he did was walk around in the crowd for most of his set and when he was on stage ask people to throw him some weed.
To be fair, he also threw plenty of weed into the crowd as well.
I kind of expected an unorthodox show when I arrived at this one and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Since so few people have mentioned 21 pilots, if you saw it, one of the best live performances of the weekend. They were awesome.
I almost feel wrong saying a early afternoon Thursday show was in my top 3 if not my Number 1. When he said they were going to give us their all, he was telling the truth. Nothing beats the crowd holding them up on those platforms while they did that drum solo.
I didn't get there until 12:30, but I only knew what GL looked like at that point, and didn't see him, so we boogied.
Well that was unfortunate because we had to have crossed paths at some point. We were there for the beginning of Cults, and moseyed out to catch the rest of the set.
Led Zeppelin if they get back together highly unlikely I know but I'm pretty sure Robert Plant likes performing at bonnaroo so I'll keep my fingers crossed
please stop. this will not happen. im pretty confident saying it will never happen. please, just stop. we arent getting led zeppelin and we arent getting the stones. can we just accept that and move on, instead of going over this non stop for a year?
Like I said highly unlikely it's on my wishlist, but I'd love to see MMJ or Jack White for next year.
Nas - What's everyone's disappointment here? Genuinely interested about what people weren't really feeling.
Nas was great. Nas was the more solid overall show.
That's what I'm saying, I didn't really see anything wrong with the performance. Granted, it was my first time really seeing a Nas show, but I felt like he did an awesome job. He had great chemistry with the backing band, his flows were decent, thought the sound was just fine from the pit.
Haha let's see, there was Waldo, the kid wearing the cardboard 'free hugs' sign, the person with the box like nick cage sign (I didn't see the huge disembodied one until Sunday), and this really awesome dude with an ankle bracelet because he's on house arrest and his gf/wife There were a few others but no one cares haha I wonder if I saw any of you!
I also plan to make better use of the resource that is Inforoo and its users, and try to get to the brunch next year. All of you were incredibly helpful with my first 'Roo as I lurked for the two weeks between the time I discovered the site and made the trip. Thanks!
James showed up In the 4th, and the Spurs didn't :-(
Well, like most analysts say, the Heat can put on a spurt of energy, but they can't sustain. If it weren't for James, and the lack of the Spurs, the Heat surely would have gone down.
Bring on Game 7!
Also, I don't know that I really believe this, but there is talk that since it's Stern's last season, this was done for as much profit as could be made...hence, the series going back and forth.

Mehhhh it was my first roo this year, and the crowd was a lot different than I thought, but I had a feeling it would be that way because of the lineup. I don't think it was because there was rap, I believe it was because there were a lot of super popular performers there at a high peak of popularity in their careers. Macklemore, Kendrick, Of Monsters & Men, etc.. They're all over the radio right now and with that many at roo there is definitely going to be a scene change. I like and made a point to see all of those performers though, no problem woth it. Like others said, Wu Tang and Nas have been around for years and I enjoyed both of their performances as well. I didn't really have a problem with it except all the trash I had to pick up. And I ended up having to carry my neighbor's huge bag of trash when I left. But there are always litterbugs and it was my first year so I can't really compare haha. I do have some bruises from 'bros' shoving on me against the railing but hell not too bad for being in the front I usually get a little more beat up. But overall I had good vibes man, and met some awesome people And don't judge a bro by his cover because I'm 23 and my brother is 19 and we may be easily confused for them. Also I saw some 'bro' looking dudes collecting trash and met some pretty cool ones. Anyways, definitely returning next year although I do hope there is a little change in the lineup.
Okay done rambling haha sorry :b One question though, was anyone else confused as to why there were certain performers in tents? (Billy Idol, Dwight Yoakam, etc)
I saw her at least once every day as well, always with a different elaborate body paint scheme. This was while waiting in line to get back into Centeroo on Thursday.
Well I figured it was time for me to sign up for inforoo since I finally did my first Roo. God I had so much fun. I made a jar when I got home to put money in for next year. I doubt next year will go as well. I was camped in Chewbacca which was like 10 minutes from Centeroo. All my neighbors were awesome, and I avoided sunburn! BUT next time I shall:
1) Bring air mattress or extra padding for sleeping bag. My hips were well sore from sleeping on my sides. 2) Mini cooler to carry around the camping area to meet other folks. The giant cooler does not work well for this. 3) Pain killers. Walking around in TOMS all day and especially after Death Grips really was crucial on the dogs. 4) Talk to more people. I am generally very shy but was coming out of my shell more at Bonnaroo. Which means I can get the "hot girls" number haha. 5) Try to get into a pit for a show I would really like to see. 6) Eat at every food truck. I tried this year but did not succeed. 7) Make a goofy flag for my campsite even if I do not need it 8) CROWD SURF (i've never done it) 9) Bring disposable cameras. Even if the pictures are crap it will be a surprise and the good ol cellular will die eventually. 10) Dance with random girl(s), must figure out how to approach this first.
I love this list, I'll dance with you next year!!!
I saw a guy walk out of the tent before Tame Impala started, and as he was maneuvering through the crowd he appeared to lose it: His eyes rolled and he started to stumble, almost in slow motion, picking up speed as he moved forward. I tried to catch him, but I was too far away. He ultimately bowled over a young lady, but bowled over may not be an appropriate description. It was more like he was a drunken Howie Long breaking through the O Line and the poor girl was Bernie Kosar. She went down hard, but luckily she suffered no serious injuries. His friends tended to him, and he also appeared to be OK after he got some water in him.
I was the guy laying in the grass that he tripped over. Kicked the crap out of my shins!
