mmmm.... VERY interesting! I saw the King play at a small venue in Roanoke a few years ago and it was incredible! I'd definitely be there! :)

GREAT news! I almost saw him a few years ago, but missed it, and am stoked to see him at roo. Plus I'm sure he'll bring out a few guests, depending on who's around.

Dude is not JUST a badass musician, but is one of the great bandleaders. If you've ever seen him in his element, man runs the stage !

Saw him at a small college auditorium (Indiana University of Pennsylvania) in the late eighties/early nineties ???.

S S S Smokinnnnnnnnnn ;D

Pre-Headliner slot for Saturday night(give the man a little shade ;)). And that slides into Zep so nice ;)

Now I'm gettin' stoked

This is outstanding! And even the exact day of the performance, not just a June 12-15 mention. Can't wait to see him there!

I always knew after the Buddy Guy/Bonnie Raitt appearences a few years ago that BB would be invited at some point in time.

I saw him close the Lightning In A Bottle show at Radio City a few years ago and although he only played a few shows he was the headliner and the patriarch of the blues obviously. He got so much respect. My father saw him a few months ago and said he has trouble playing long sets now and does more storytelling but he can still play the hell out of the guitar. Should be a great show

Saw B.B King in Atlanta at Chastain Park in 2006. Dr. John and The Neville Brothers opened for him. One of the best concerts I had seen ever. I will DEFINETLY be seeing B.B King at Bonnaroo.

Nice... Hope we get more legends, so to speak, but if not, this is enough to satisfy for my thirst for legendary acts.

ya, but he's a good storyteller too... and boy is he a dirty old man! It really brings a new meaning to going to a "show"... you get it all with the King.

My friends said he was handing out gold necklaces to girls in the front row. I dont know if he really was, but you are right. He loves women, women, women

And I'm super excited to see him play. And to see if he brings some cool friends (eric clapton, buddy guy, santana, john frusciante, jeff beck..). It says he is playing the 14th, which is saturday. So maybe late evening set like the roots were would be cool

OH WOW! This makes me so, so happy. I was just coming to the sad realization that I would not be able to see him live (not enough money right now to buy 80 dollar tix to see him in Knoxville), and then I see this. I absolutely love the blues, and being able to see the King of the Blues at Bonnaroo is a great opportunity. I'm sure he will put on a legendary show that will probably be the highlight of the festival for me. If Buddy Guy or any of the other blues greats pop up, I guarantee you it will be the highlight of the festival for me.
