I heard somewhere that Rothbury didn't sell anywhere near the amount of tickets that were expected of it.

i think im going to the Newport Folk Fest in rhode island and its gonna be the black crows, trey, jim james and more in one day. im really excited to see trey, and of course jim james but i have never seen trey. theres a second day but the first days lineup totally blows it away, the highlight is like Jimmy Buffet and then no one else really lol

Here is the link to the Detroit paper about the 3/4 Phish reunion. It appears that they did a cover of the Beatles' "She Said She Said"

heres a quote i saw somewhere online about rothbury ticket sales "sold more than 30,000 tickets"

so i'm guessing it could've been 30,001-40,000 - probably somewhere in between there

No, no, you're wrong. Bonnaroo ticket sales were down because the lineup sucked dood - Superfly went mainstream and that's why nobody went. All the heady festies like Rothbury and Allgood and 10KLF are going to sell tons of tickets because low ticket sales were in no way related to high gas prices, fest oversaturation, or anything else.

rothbury was one of the greatest festival venues i've ever seen. The try and mike shows were amazing, great vibes and big crowds. Bonnaroo is fun but just imagine if it had 5,000 trees, a lake, and little to no at gate or entrance. That place is awesome.

At Trey Anastasio's VERY private soundcheck at Rothbury. Trey's family was there... and us. Awesome.

He played three songs during the check. (Trey was kinda looking in our direction the whole time that he was playing, which felt semi weird, but cool at the same time.)
