Good to see Kirk participated. Was Lars still cursing himself on the bus for signing on to this tour?

Come on man.
So far at Bonnaroo, Metallica has put on an engaging show (even if it's not your bag, you have to admit that a) the crowd looked like they were having a blast, b) the band looked like the respected and appreciated being there, and c) they rocked hard), and it's lead guitarist has collaborated with Bonnaroo fan-favorites My Morning Jacket, as well as being part of the SuperJam, playing alongside such "Bonnaroo-worthy" acts like Les Claypool and Gogol Bordello.
By all accounts, the world is still standing, and Bonnaroo is having a blast. Can we stop the needless Metallica bashing in every thread now?

Save me darlin' I am down But I am far from over Give me somethin' I need it all 'Cause I am runnin' over
Back in the race I'm movin' in 'Cause I am getting closer I'm diggin' in I want it more Than anything I've wanted
Save me darlin' I am down But I am far from over!" |

I'm not bashing Metallica. I was commending Kirk cuz he was meshing with other artists. I said Lars prob went right back to the bus cuz to me it seems like he's the whiner of the band.

You were right. Home Sweet Home. Amazing. Wish I could say more about this set... I'm sure I will soon enough.

There were a few recordings being made of the set. I saw at least three sets of mics there. Stupid me left after an hour and half to see the Superjam. Can't wait to hear the whole show. Hopefully it comes up soon.

At a quarter to 4. Oops.

F@cking Amazing! This and the '06 late night are quite possibly my two favorite shows ever. F all the babies who left the show to get out of the rain. I was there the whole time, and everyone leaving just made it easier for me to get closer.
GET DOWN ON IT! MMJ brought the funk for sure. I will be at MSG new years for sure. I love Radiohead to death, but Jim James and crew are the best touring band out there.
