Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.

I know a girl who has been working Bonnaroo for years, and she has made her way up the ranks. She took me on a golf cart ride Saturday and we drove back into the restricted areas (which is surprisingly easy if you are on a non-taxi cart, I just had to cover my peasant wristband with a towel). We drove past the Total Access area, and it was behind a tall wooden fence that I couldn't see over. She said they totally get the royal treatment...and that there were only about 12 people that did it this year. She might have been misinformed about that number, though, because that seemed pretty low to me. Too rich for my blood.

While I would LOVE to do Bonnaroo this way, I have a possible trip to Australia later this year, and a trip to Wales in May to pay for, so it's not going to happen for me Maybe when I win the lottery I will stop being too cheap!
I went VIP my first year and it was a mistake. No vibe, no fun, and not worth the cash. I have gone GA ever since and have had much more fun. Half of the fun of Bonnaroo for me is mingling with the masses of humanity in the camps. Yes, I curse the heat and walk my ass off every year but that too is part of it. If you need that much luxury to endure Bonnaroo then just watch it all from the air conditioned comfort of your house!
I have been to Bonnaroo as part of the general population. I volunteered one year so I stayed in the Vol camp. I brought my kids one year so we stayed in the Family camp. This past year I won tickets so we were in Guest camp with the hospitality tents.
Besides, Bonnaroo is the the most pampered festival there is. First of all the ground is all level. Plus they mow the lawn and spray for bugs. There's free water everywhere and in Centeroo there are places to charge your phone(Fuze), places to use your computer(Troo), places to watch a movie, and a billion other perks.
So I say use Bonnaroo for what it is. It's the Gen X festival. And i use the term festival loosly. I want to stay in Total Access because it's there.
I'll save my real festival shoes for more secluded, rustic, festivals like Om, Bisco, Mountain Jam, All Good, and the countless others that you're lucky if they have cell service. We like to bring walkies.
I'll go back to GA someday. But for the 10 year I want Total Access.

Also I wondering what this area was. It's by the road to Pod 1 correct?
Say hey johnny boy, the battle call United we stand, divided we fall Together we are what we can't be alone We came to this country you made it our home
Here's another "just realized" TA perk: Druid could possibly go sockless, since TA folks are chauffered around!
Now the big question (in two parts) is this:
A. anybody know if SpacemanSpliff will go TA? I can't imagine any future 'Roo without him & his magic chair; and... B. Idio, can we request that at least one of the buses be stocked w/Prater's BBQ? nom nom nom

2010 Total Access, here are a few points.
Lodging Area/Bus: - Fenced off with fairly strict access during the day, at night we could get anyone in. - Hospitality tent with full bar and 3 meals daily. Could usually get a drink and whatever was leftover even after 2:00 am. - Air conditioned showers and toilets. Toilets could have been maintained better. Toilets in bus were for #1 only. TA bathrooms at What Stage were the way to go. - Bus was fully stocked with what we requested. If we needed more or something specific, they got it. They wanted us to pay for the extra items, but I guess they forgot. We left with no outstanding bill. - Roughly 20 buses maybe more. When we booked, we were told only 10, but they added more due to all of the requests.
Transportation: - Golf carts in and out of the area at all times. We hooked up with the same two guys everyday. They knew our schedule and were waiting for us when we got started for the day and would stay with us until we were done (3-4am). - Took us anywhere we wanted to go, many times just hanging out by the carts waiting for us. A++++
Access: What Stage - Very exclusive, although all of the big headliners had reserved the lower viewing platform on the stage. If you weren't on the barricade, there was no point in being up there. Sound was OK, only watched a few from this angle, or would catch a few songs and go in front. - We had an area barricaded for us in front. Always had beer in an ice chest and you could get to the bathroom pretty quickly. - Drink tent off to the side also.
Which Stage - Not as exclusive, TA had an area on one side of the sound board. Again, ice chests with beer, water, etc. - Depending on security, you could walk up the middle section take pics, etc. Also this is where we entered and exited.
All tents - Entered through the back and had access on side of stage. View was decent and usually had a lot of people, not just TA. - Again, depending on security, we were able to go to the front of the stage and stand in front of the crowd.
Hospitality/Back Stage: - Artist hospitality was a good place to take a break get a drink, saw a few people. Directly behind Which Stage. - No backstage access to What Stage, limited at Which and full access at the tents.
All in all, would do it again in a second. Not as exclusive as I thought, but in terms of convenience, it can't be beat. Being able to go from stage to stage so easily/quickly or back to the bus if you needed a break was the biggest advantage.
Hope this helps. Post any specific questions and I'll try and check back periodically to answer. I have pics from all view points if interested, let me know.
Idio, its funny....when you type in Total Access on google...your avatar pops up. I keep looking for a first person review of this so I know what one gets and I can't find shit.
