Thank you so much for talking non stop during the performance. Especially you, group who stood behind me. I don't know what I would have done if I had actually been able to listen to the show uninterrupted! I really enjoyed hearing about your awesome glow bracelets, and that you were super psyched for Girl Talk later on. I just hate it when I actually hear music. I much more prefer to hear you talking above it. This goes double for you, obviously drunk girl who loves the sound of her own voice! Boy, you were so entertaining! Much more that that guy on stage. That's why I go to shows, really. To hear other people's conversations! I just love listening to people talk! I know you guys do!
So thank you, group behind me. You really made that show extra special for me!
Signed,

I for one found entertainment out of the bros next to me talking about how they shave there balls at the NIN show, but hey to each his own.
If you were really bothered you should have: a) move up a little closer or a little further back or anywhere but there. b) ask them to be a little more quiet or move (not on a message board but when you were at the show)
I dont want to come off as a d*ck, that annoys me too, but people talking, and being drunk, and singing off key, is to be expected when you go to a live show, if you cant tolerate it then buy the CD.

^Yeah. You should always expect rude, rowdy, disrespectful tools...but that doesn't make it right or acceptable. Real music fans don't want to push-forward into other people's (probably?) well-earned spots...and they also don't deserve to be forced into the further reaches of the crowd because they're not into being dicks or hearing about everything on six different dick's minds! If you're more into just chillin' with yo bros, why wouldn't you hang-back, if nothing else, just for conversation's sake? Unless, that is, you just want everyone else to stand witness to how freakin' radically cool, crazy and fucked-up your crew is? Even then, save that nuts for the campground, one of the MANY lines, or posting-up against a fence or tree while you're waiting to ruin your next show. I know that oblivious, mouthy DIX are part of the festival experience , but I also want them to know how much they suck!

Ive never been so annoyed with people then I was at the Beastie show. Have some respect. seriously. Thats cool that you're excited to see Phish but it made me want to stand around just for the Phish show so I could push my way through the crowd. Not pay attention to the set at, just start from the back of the crowd and push my way to the front. In retrospect, I wish i would have. Also the people that stood behind me at Bruce that made it known they were from NJ every 5 seconds and proceeded to belt out the wrong lyrics to every song, yes you were super awesome.

you need to chill man. first off, you dont have to push, unless your insanely close, I mean maybe your expertise is not getting close in shows but I never had a problem moving around at shows WITHOUT pushing, does that make me not a real fan of music haha?

I've never really let this bother me at Bonnaroo due to the fact that there are always just so many people around...however...
When I'm not a Bonnaroo and I'm at a gig where I paid 15-20 bux to get into what is essentially a glorified bar to see some small act that I like, I would really like to hear the show. Why on earth are you standing in a group talking during a whole show when you paid what amounts to a huge cover charge?

the reason it tookme so long is.. well, I really have no reason.
the reason it took me so long to respond to this thread is, well, I'm not on here very often on the off season and I'm super forgetful. i just remembered I made this thread.
jhointn, yes, I still had a very good time, thanks to my company
and Jess, you are totally not included in that group of people

So sad to hear that. I had such a great time during the Beasties. It was one of the few shows where my entire group was together. We were really far from the stage, but we were throwing down so hard it felt like being in the pit.

i just hate when i intentionally stand in a certain spot because i can see the stage perfectly, leaving space for people to move up in front of me, and people feel the need to push me forward. quack! if you want to move up, go around me! i like this smurfing spot.
i hate talkers, but they are expected. if its to the point where i cant focus on the show more than them, ill move.
