Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Yeah, I went and looked but didn't see him backstage, but apparently he was on the other side of the stage. He was also at either Loretta or Wanda's set (likely both) because I remember hearing how one of them asked him to join her onstage, but he refused. So, considering how often he has had dealings with Bonnaroo, and having come even when not playing, I imagine he enjoys it quite a lot.
anyone confirmed or denied the Mountain Goats or the Hold Steady possibly being there? i scanned through our first page and didn't notice anything regarding the two.
first of all, whoever said Mac Miller is better then Chiddy Bang, i truly do feel sorry for you. Mac Miller literally has no skill writing, and his flow is embarrassing. everything that eminem has done for white rappers, mac miller has destroyed that, he is a joke. it will never make sense to me why anybody knows who he is. the only positive about him being there is hopefully he thins out the crowds for the rest of his time slot.
and karasko, in regards to jack whites comment, we already know his feelings about Roo, so that leads me to believe its a good sign and not a negative comment.

I think I read somewhere on here that someone asked about the Hold Steady but the response they got only mentioned a festival in New Jersey or something later in the year.

wow right on. thats gonna be a killer LN set. whats funny is the last time i asked him i said "whats the word on Bonnaroo" without having any idea what The Word was and he retweeted it. haha
robert randolph just confirmed on twitter it will be the word at bonnaroo this year!
"The wordRT @spmirish: @rrtfb so when you come to bonnaroo this year, are you bring the family band with you or do we get to hear the word?"
Nice work! This really excites me. In 2005 I opted for Modest Mouse on the Which Stage while The Word were playing on the What Stage. In the five Bonnaroo's I've been too, that Modest Mouse show was the second worst show I've ever seen there.
cant wait for this set. will be at it regardless of time slot, but this can be a great late night set(like he mentioned to my tweet a few weeks ago and responded to alberto's as well). if the bonnaroo god's are listening, please put them against mac miller so that i can get a real nice spot for the word.
Wu Lyf: "No summer festivals planned. We’ll play until the end of April (dates here: wulyf.org) then the band will begin writing the second record. So no more dates until 2013."
Thanks for everyone's work in this thread. It's been very enjoyable, appreciated, and exciting to see the confirmations.
Does anyone have any information on Of Monsters and Men or The Joy Formidable? Both are touring and I think each would be outstanding tent acts. Oh, and Grouplove. Didn't see any on the first page.
They are touring with The Darkness, mostly West Coast dates for now.
*EDIT* I see they have a huge gap between the end of Feb and the end of June... dun dun duhhhhhhh.
*EDIT EDIT* I would give a finger and couple of toes to see The Darkness at Roo.
both are on the rock on the range lineup that was released today. i believe the dates were mid may. so it has them in the midwest a few weeks before roo. so id say its possible. if they dont release more tour dates soon, id imagine they are waiting on some more fest announcements before their dates are released.
Wow guys, I have a feeling this lineup may beat 2009.
It depends on how many from the group of The Shins, Bon Iver, Paul Simon, The Beach Boys, Leonard Cohen, Eddie Vedder and Jack White are there. For instance, even though we don't know a whole lot about whether any of those artists will be there, most mocks have like 5 of those 6 artists there, but in reality we'll probably only get 3 or 4 of them.
Even though most of us expect both The Shins and Bon Iver to be there, I bet one of them isn't, I bet only one of Paul Simon and Beach Boys will be there (as most mocks actually reflect), and I bet only one will be there from the group of Cohen, Vedder, and Jack White (MAYBE two, maybe Vedder and Jack White).
Still, though, that'd make for a top couple lines of, say: Radiohead*RHCP*Phish*Beach Boys*Adele*Jack White*Drake*The Shins*The Roots*The Avett Brothers. Still a hell of a top 10, but I don't know if it tops 2009. Now, if we DO get 5 of those artists from that list, that would put this lineup over the top. So it really depends on that second-tier group of big names that we don't know about yet.
