sent a message to dan deacon's booking agent... waiting for a response. his show in 2010 was so much fun, hope he comes back
If you can, get at Dan directly. I feel like he's the kind of DIY type. Met him at a show at this venue Eastern Bloc in Mtl in early 2010, and he was driving the grease-bus all on his own and setting up his own stuff and booked the show himself.

He was also really smelly. But a nice dude.
He posted on his facebook right before Moogfest asking for a ride. Great stuff.

My friend lost his phone during Dan Deacon's set at Moogfest and he found it and texted me (I had called to see if anyone had found it) and we went and got it back from him. Awesome guy and incredibly fun live.

Das Racist is very interesting: I saw them at a tiny club last year, and they put on the kind of show that you guys mentioned. It was really fun, though, I ended up dancing with them on stage. But yeah, it was a bit of a punk show. Then I saw them again at Camp Bisco, and they put on a much different show. They were a lot more polished, and I was able to tell which songs they were doing. I guess they put on different types of shows depending on where they're playing.
2012 shows: 3/23 - The Men 4/9 - Of Monsters & Men 4/21 - Bassnectar 5/2 - Shpongle 5/22 - Jack White 6/1 - tUnE-yArDs 6/7-6/10 - Bonnaroo 2012 6/18 - Destroyer 6/20 - The Tallest Man On Earth 6/23-6/24 - Governor's Ball
I just tweeted Trampled by Turtles. Their spring tour takes them down the east coast, but never into Tennessee. It also ends May 26 in Vancouver, but then picks back up for one show June 15 in Wisconsin. I'm guessing they're a lock for Sasquatch, but I hope they continue on and play Bonnaroo as well.
Das Racist may be the most exciting rap act possible for me. just to hear Heems ramble unintelligibly for an hour will be worth every penny of my ticket.

Agreed. I saw them twice last year and the show at Pitchfork was damn near one of my favorite shows of the year.

They are incredible live. Their Pitchfork show was awesome, but I liked their Bisco show even more. It was basically the same set but longer.
At Bisco (for those who weren't there) they did a call and response that I found really funny, but no one else seems to think it was anywhere near as funny as I do. Anyway, people weren't participating a whole lot in some of their earlier call and response chants, so they did a new one: "When I say call, you say response!" I found it to be one of the funniest things imaginable, but for some reason no one else does.
